April 2009
Yay Two Years Old! We made it! Who'd have thought so much crazy could happen in just two quick years,
John Paul McQueen et al addiction, rollarcostered to unbelievable highs through insanely dangerous twists and spirals, all the while gathering formula one speed and pride coloured wagons, as more and more people seem to just leap on board the greatest stories ever told. Then the track up ahead divided and before anyone knew it we had four trains running their own separate ways, kris crossing (old skool!) over each others rails, McDean, Kieron, Spike and the train which was happy to cross between all three and enjoy everything the storylines had to offer (we were on this one!). Then to top it off, rather than coming to a gradual stop in a dull station, the entire McDean train came off the tracks and flew into the sunset sky (literally), possibly the greatest rollarcoster ride in the world, and not a Final Destination type horror in sight, that was one truly sick film.
March News Round up - Bringing you all of what happened last month
- As hoped from last month we have some James "movie" news!
Turns out it wasn't any type of film with a English language definition (James
you little porker!), more like a "soap opera", yup James has a role in Emmerdale playing a character called Ryan who is the son of newcomer Faye Lamb... Is this Faye currently on screen? Goad knows, the show is pretty dire stuff, but perhaps James will force us to watch and from that we will find a burning passion for the country life! From a fan point of view, it's disappointing as Hollyoaks and Emmerdale are polar in almost every way, but this means of course that from James' point of view its probably a pretty fantastic new challenge! Good luck xXx
- We haven't done this for a while, but we have finally added a new affiliate to our collection, welcome to the now well recognised branded "fans" version of "McDean Fans", and possibily the greatest incarnation of the franchise to date. Check it out. We will write a review of the forums in a few days!
We are not becoming a book review site, and this is not John Paul related, but if you fancy a good, lighthearted read then try Boy meets Boy, by David Levithan. The way its written is so unique and the two of us who have read it, can't compare it to anything else! "There isn't really a gay scene or a straight scene in our town. They all got mixed up a while back, which I think is for the best... And whether your heart is strictly ballroom or bluegrass punk, the dance floors are open to whatever you have to offer. This is my town".
April Treats for all *throws them out like a beauty from a pageant wagon*, and congrats on being with us for two stellar years!
