JPMQ's Top FIVE YouTUBe Video's - followed by the rest

Overwhelming numbers of John Paul and Craig/Hollyoaks – McDean – Videos all over Youtube these days and something of a non winning fight, for anyone who has to work a 40 hour week, to wrestle with the huge levels of obvious fan dedication! So we've decided to list the top 5... “The Best” in our humble opinion. Which is actually total bollocks because we haven't looked at every single one out there and thus cant possibly claim our views to be representative of everyone else, or reliable of all the creations out there.

Instead here is out List, of the Top 5 vids we really like (and then the rest), some we have fallen across and gone “Yeah you know what that's actually pretty wicked” or “Omg I've just been crying over a JP and Craig video!”, and others which YOU the surfers of this site, and Youtube have thought “I need to let the world no how much I LOVE what I just watched!”. So you decided to email us, use our form, pass on the link and some comments about why what you have just watched (or Created yourself, hey we are allowing it!) is so darn good it needs a place in the JPMQ's Top FIVE. This was the inspiration for the JPMQ.org Top Five in the first place! Two people kindly pointed us to its location and we loved it, and here is why...

The song stands out! It has something of a rep for associating itself with doomed love, especially gay style loving. Which is seen by it's fans and casual watchers alike as something of a strong lust and a deep affection built upon a world which will not properly accept it. Some of you will have gotten it already, if not have a look for anything BrokeBack Mountain, and in time you will stubble across this songs use and it's impossible to not be blown away.

A vicious and unforgiving combination of music which blends into your soul and a visual delight that you remember just as well as the original context in which you first saw it, and yet is somehow still able to improve upon it. This JP Video is no different, it's stunning use of circumstance with the songs lyrics and employment of the artistic combination of the rapidly changing shot scenes in the latter half of the song really built and emphases the point of the video; A love which has been forged in a difficult way, a hidden and secret love kept behind closed doors, because it could never fully exist on its own. In simple terms a love which some people just aren't ready to except as reasonable.

This video has the power to change attitudes (Seriously we think it's that good!) it should be heard and watched by as many people as possible, spread the link!

A Hidden Love - Everything You Want by Vertical Horizo

This video is one from the olden days, as such it's a bit of a classic. Not to mention one of the very first (actually fairly sure the actual first) JP/Craig video to be uploaded to YouTube.

Once again it's the song which combines seeming flawlessly with the scenes playing out in front of your eyes. Again the song has easy to spot gay linkage with the lyrics coming from the “girls” point of view but being sung by the “guy”, “He is everything you want” it applies itself perfectly to JP, who arguably, is crushing after Craig at this point in their story, and the lyrics telling the story with complete accuracy. Craig is everything JP wants, and James Sutton pulls it all off brilliantly!

Truth be told, it makes me feel incredibly nostalgic, both with the John Paul story in general, it's when it all started to snowball into what it is today, as well as personal experiences which makes the whole thing seriously “fixed” into memory. Who hasn't crushed after someone to such a degree it's blinded you? Messed with who you thought you were and twisted everything on its head when you seemed irresistible drawn to someone you shouldn't. You try to fight that urge, but ultimately you can't. It sometimes ends well, but mostly it ends in some serious soul-destroying moments and depressive moody storms. Illustrated almost to perfection by John Paul himself at later dates.

“A Hidden Love” a love hidden from Craig, and to some extent even hidden from JP himself, and watching this back, reminds us exactly how things were, the start just as important as the end. Brilliant Stuff.

Breathe Me - (Sia)

The first Kieron/JP fan video in our Top Five, impressive? We think so, but just hold it right there and LISTEN. What a song!! It get's a lot of plays in seemingly depressive parts of films and TV Shows, potentially most famous for providing the montage for Six Feet Under's ending, which played the entire song and featured all of the main characters showing their final moments and then their death. Gruesome? Not if you understand the show. And a little out of context with this Kieron/JP video, no one dies! BUT it does fuse with it perfectly, the song's entire basis is about being alone and needing someone with the underlying message radiating; vulnerability.

In the grand scope of things Kieron as a character is rather 2D at present, he isn't as well formed and established as some of the 3D Oaks residents, but even to the infrequent watcher his faith and desire for a physical Solitude is clear. His growing relationship with JP brings out the hidden truth; Kieron is, at the end of the day, a human with all the traits that encompass humanity. Including the desire for physical love and more importantly not wanting to be alone.

The video catches all of the above and lays it out for us. We love it.

It's Coldplay, grab the hankies because you know this song will make you feel depressed in a sad but at the same time "pleased" sort of way, does that make sense? Not really. Well consider your thoughts after watching to be reflective then. That's what we did anyway.

It's a vid looking back on the JP/C relationship set to 'The Scientist' by Coldplay, you get a lot of the tender moments with the kissing and the general feeling of the pair being in love and living life with that "complete" feeling, as if life is really worth it. Then in come the bits that make you feel hurt, the dregs of love that just grab a hold and pull you along the highway of a fast moving relationship, giving no mercy as it drags you bouncing along forcing your poor abused heart along for the bumpy ride. Ouch.

Emily says it best with the video dedication at the end... "to the bastards who broke my heart"

xAngelxLeonax gets a second entry into the top five, do they work for us? Do they know us? Hell' knows, this person is like a total undiluted psychic! VERONICA MARS, the theme tune is splashed all over this! Veronica Mars is The Best. American TV show. Ever (Like what we did there Mars fans, expect more before this review is over *winks*)

Ok Ok, The Dandy Warhols sold it to us, but look at its visual pretty flashes, and genius pairing of JP and Sarah with their own theme; "A long time ago, we used to be friends, But I haven't thought of you lately at all..." JP and Sarah really were BFF a long time ago, and the words towards the end sum it up nicely, JP did the dogging dirty on her by getting off with her boyfriend! It's like the number one rule of golden friendship, written at the top of the page in bold black ink with a score of red for good effect; "1. Never ever EVER turn your friends boyfriend gay and have your way with him, totally un cool". And right underneath what do we have? "2. Never fool around on your friends boyfriend's bed and get caught in the act, half naked, sweaty and lusting". JP is two for two, and those very simple rule breaks explain why JP and Sarah Used To Be Friends.

If it ever came to a toss up of either watching this video again or a randy game of Murder on the Riverboat Queen, this would win hands down!

The videos that just don't cut it any more, still very much a fan of them mind. They get their own knockout section but without the actual YOUTUBE embed and the prestige of being in the Top Five. What you think its a crime against nature to have removed them in the first place? Then TELL US!!

The Baby Diegos debut single on Hollyoaks - Amy & Josh Forever. Best. Hollyoaks attempt at a music video. Ever. It's the greatest, the comedy, the dancing, the lyrics and tune, it all comes together to make, "Amy Josh Forever!".

The Comedy; Josh playing the same notes on his keyboard but producing a varied and brilliant tune. Michaela screaming "One Timeee. Two Timeee".

The Dancing; Amy Winehouse wannabe?

The Lyrics; Er ok, maybe they aren't the best angle to sell this video, but they do work for our featured heroes storylines and lives at the time the episode aired.

The Tune; I dare you not to play it once or twice and be singing along.

Royalmcqueen2007 (Not the actual creator mind, you should thank Rodger Williams and Tris Burns for that) even tried to make it like an official looking music video! But he failed, he made it even better, this people is the future of music videos! Two Time!

With a simple title, comes a simple video, lots of Craig Dean stills from him as a black haired young un, to a er black haired old un and all the different hair styles in between. Some weird Jonas Armstrong loving makes it truly random, I mean what do Jonas and Craig have in common other than both being straight? Either way, Craig is so Damn hot, sing OK GO which rocks around showing off Matmorgan06's creative flair with smart captions.

All John Paul wants is sex, and lots of it. Goodness. And Sarah, Sarah wants to sleep with John Paul right now. The whole video is another random, crazy, nutty creation from the 2005 plus era of witty and fun style of storytelling (It's what this site is modeled on so of course we were going to love it!).
